[FTV] Cat sounds

Hobbes made a new noise tonight. It was soft and in his thoat. And he looked up
at me with the most loving eyes that seemed to say, 'I need a hug'. He wrapped
himself around my legs and rubbed his chin against my ankle. He was sooo sweet!
I picked him up and hugged him and kissed him and hold him I loved him. Then he
wanted down so he could follow me into the dining room and put on another
display of love and affection, making this noise I couldn't decipher. I finally
made my way into the kitchen and realized that look really meant 'I didn't mean
to do it Mamma, please love me.'

You see, the coffee that I had started to brew was pouring all over the
countertop. Someone had moved the pot just slightly and the basket had swung out
partially away from it's intended location. Coffee grounds and water everywhere!
As I was cleaning the mess up and trying to figure out how I had not put the pot
on the burner correctly or the basket in it right spot it occured to me...Hobbes
just had to investigate the noise that the coffemaker was making. He got up on
the counter and checked it out, only to end up making a mess. I had to chuckle
when I realized he reminded me of a child meeting a parent at the door promising
that s/he hadn't done anything wrong before the wrong was discovered. He is so
smart!
