Road trip update

Ok, we're here! Before you all leave the RV, let me point out the
layout. The turkey pens are over there - be careful, those tom turkeys
are big and MEAN! There's the house - there's a cat flap in the front
and back doors, and our host has rigged a screen around the back porch
to make things more comfortable for those kitties who don't like being
outdoors.

That old siamese kitty on the porch is Samantha. She owns this place.
There's a d*g inside the house, named Maggie, but she'll most likely
stay out of our way - she's really shy.

Add right in front of us is a tree that's *wonderful* for climbing! Easy
to up, and easy to get down.

There's kitty kibble inside the house, and canned food, and various
brands of kitty snacks. We'll be getting roast turkey later, and I've
got a bunch of nip-based goodies that I'll be breaking out as it gets
closer to midnight.

Everybody have fun!

And if any of you kitties still on board are afraid of the Out (as I
used to be), Unka Pat just ran a screened tube from the back of the RV
to the enclosed porch. Samuel Kitten found a way under the bunk and into
the generator compartment, and you can jump from there into the screened
tube so you can avoid go outside at all - you can get from the RV to the
porch and the house while still enclosed.

And it looks like he set out a couple platters of smoked turkey! Oh,
I've got to get some of that!

That's quite understandable! D*g's can be such louts. Here, let's go in
the house....

That's Uncle Pat over in the kitchen getting the turkey ready.

Then let's go down this hallway here, to the front bedroom. That's
Samantha sleeping on the bed. She sleeps about 20 hours a day! One day
this summer Uncle Pat got home from running errands and found a card in
his screen door from the county Animal Control people. The animal
control guy came by later in the day while Pat was out front. The animal
control guy said he was there because the neighbors had called about the
dead cat on Pat's porch. When the guy said that, Pat went into the house
and came back out with a bag of kitty kibble and rattled it. The "dead"
cat got up, stretched, and came over to Pat for some fyood.

Here's lets go back to the living room. Way over in that corner, hiding
in the dog bed with the high sides - that's Maggie the Springer Spaniel.
She's very shy, but she does like kitties. Here's let's get a little
closer....

Maggie, this is my dear friend TV. He's a very special kitty.

Maggie d*g looks at both kitties and wags tentatively

Let's go back to the kitchen and see what goodies we can find.

Here, OEJ, come wif us. We'z at the fireworks place wif Unka Pat's ID
card, and we'z found where dey keeps the big foreworks. We'x found a big
rolly cart and iz loading up some goodies fur tonight's party!
