I'm not getting the music - The sound on my computer is working, I'm just not hearing music on any web pages (anybody got a clue what might be wrong?)! : What's playing? "Are you lonely tonight ... Charlie This is what it said when I went the "The web site you are trying to access has exceeded its allocated data transfer." Candace Same here at 12.20 pm BST. Tweed worked fine for me Cross-posted again!!!! I'm under the impression that it is OK to post cat-related material and links to more than one cat-related newsgroup. Is there a FAQ or charter that says otherwise? It is fine to post the story of your pets at your island place both here and in anecdotes, where it is certainly on-topic. Some people there have asked that we do not crosspost, but given the behavior of many members of the group I see no reason to honor any request they make. (Compliance with their wishes is a courtesy I have done them in the past, but, again, I see no reason to do it now.) It's a stupid request in the first place. Tell me, does Tweaker travel well? And does she seem flipped out by the change? He. Tweaker is very much a male, just as Holly is very much a female. He's rowdy, she's not. He travels wonderfully. He is quiet in the cat carrier, and he likes riding in the car. He didn't get flipped out, but rather seemed to enjoy every new experience. He is very sociable. He loves people and dogs. I'm back on the mainland for a dentist's appt., and Tweaker is back in his kitty bed, dozing away, just as he was before we left this morning. I think having Holly in the equation helps with the travelling cat thing. Tweaker has two important relationships -- with me and with her. If both of us are with him, I think he is happy to go anywhere. Charlie |

Everyone looks very happy in their idyllic surroundings. Nice dedicatory opportunity. Aren't those flowers amazing? Hey Charlie, are there snakes on the island? We have small ones that don't bite. Black or brown with a pale yellow stripe, I believe. They provide a good opportunity for dog-training. Holly won't go near them. Charlie |

Charlie This is what it said when I went the "The web site you are trying to access has exceeded its allocated data transfer." Candace I checked the records. It appears one individual using Windows NT 5.1 repeatedly hit the site and used up my free-site quota. I suppose I can contact geocities and ask them to block the offending IP or domain. I'd rather not, but clearly I am up against a crowd that plays by different rules, and I will adapt as necessary. Charlie Well, we know its not Dan he uses Linux if I remember rightly, no doubt one of those boring turds or philip. Yeah, looks like they did it soon as Charlie put it up. dirty dawgs! It's a one-time trick. Geocities will block that whole domain if it keeps happening. I don't even have to notify them; it is done with a script. This content rationing is a hoax anyway; they want customer pages to get lots of hits, but they also want to sell service upgrades. Charlie I'm suprised Philip can even see the screen, his apt must be pretty charred and blacked up by now. |

Holly is the only dog Joey can really play with the way he wants to play, which is rough. Holly loves it too. She is bigger, and she is far quicker and more agile. She can control him, but it's usually more fun to let him do his worst. Charlie |

Getting the default midi configuration right is a problem that has perplexed the best minds at Microsoft for well over a decade now. Go to settings, choose multimedia, and make sure you have a valid midi instrument selected. If that doesn't help, reinstall your third-party sound drivers if you have them. Charlie |

Hugs, CatNipped I had to open the page in IE to hear the music, didn't have the plugin for it in firefox. Charle, thank you for those pictures, they're wonderful. Holly is a beauty, she looks very relaxed. As noted before, Tweakers markings are incredible, I'd never let him off my lap if he was mine. I've never seen such a lovely colour grey in a cat before. Thanks again for sharing. |
