If you abruptly transition a cat on her food, she'll suffer side effects. Flatulence, diarreah, nausea on occasion. You can give it a few days (but keep a close eye on her), or go back to what she was eating and transition her to the new food. If you wait it out but it persists for too long (say, a week), a visit to the vet is in order. -- Dennis Carr - | I may be out of my mind, http://www.dennis.furtopia.org | But I have more fun that way. ------------------------------------+------------------------------- |

Anytime you change a cat's food you have to do it gradually or it can cause
them intestinal distress...could that be the problem? "Michael Balarama" wrote in message ... my cat's 9 months old.we took her off of kitty food and she smells. it smells like shes passing gas.any ideas? thanx, mike |
