Bev wrote: The kitties developed a liking for eggs when they tipped them from the top of the frig a couple of times. This necessitated my shifting them to the back of the servery against the wall, supposedly out of reach. This morning they were dining on scrambled eggs. A six pack of eggs in a transparent plastic egg container had been batted all the way from the back of the servery onto the kitchen floor. Smash!!! Gobble gobble gobble, slurp. Perhaps it's time to put the eggs in the frig. as people suggested last time. Frig doors are not easy for kitties to open - hummmmmmmmmmm, famous last words. I always keep mine in the fridge. Not just because it's an American custom, but becuase I don't use up a dozen very quickly, and they stay fresher that way. LOL Hey, I'm the first to admit that I would forget a combination lock. I would write down the combination and then forget where I put it! There's this condition called "CRS" - happens to women around the end of their 40s, or early 50s. You 40-50-somethings know what I'm talking about, right? Not being able to remember things like numbers, or nouns. Or names. Um, ah, er... oh, yeah - Joyce or what I went into that room to get. The worst memory lapse I've had was the time I got a pair of socks out of the dresser drawer, deposited the socks on the bed, and then went back to the dresser to get a pair of socks... Brenda |

"Brenda" wrote be sure to check the fridge for kitties before you shut the door... Brenda That's a good precaution. When I used to have a fridge that stood directly on the floor (now my fridge is on top of the freezer), Frank used to slip inside when I opened the door. I always had to check that he'd come out before I could close the fridge. -- Marina, Frank and Nikki marina (dot) kurten (at) pp (dot) inet (dot) fi |

ROFL - bet they enjoyed the eggs.....duh, what *is* a "servery"? Once they
learn the good stuff is in the fridge, you'll have to be very careful, as we are, not to close fridge door on kitty heads, as every time it opens they will surf the contents. When we lived in Bay area, CA, I used to keep eggs in a cute wire container
shaped like a hen! It was usually around 60 degrees F. and colder in winter. They kept nicely there, but *not* here in south FL.....it's the fridge for them year-round here.
