My Antonio, who I found in my front yard as a tiny kitten, has never
been a lap cat.
He came and sat on my lap today.
Not bad for after a year and a half.

Congratulations. He is starting to love and trust you. It's so special
when they show that they trust you, the other night I was watching TV, laid
out on the settee, and Boyfriend approached, jumped up and arranged himself
at the back of my knees. This is only the second time he's done this.
Antonio is making good progress. Did you almost not dare to move when he
came on your lap? That's what I've felt when my very scaredy cat decided to
try and trust again.
It took my boy about the same length of time as yours to get physical.

Thanks for your encouragement.

There is a long story about me an Antonio.
He has never been a feral cat.
He sleeps with me.
If I am laying on the couch, he will lay between me an the edge of the
couch, he will bring toys to me to play fetch...etc. BUT never until
the other day did he ever have any inclination to sit on my lap.
He was just a tiny kitten when I found him.
The BOYS are at

See my middle child hunting too.

That's such a special moment. It took years with Fenda too, she was an
eighteen-month old semi-feral when we adopted her.

Jeanette

Ah, Fenda. The beautiful cat with the beautiful name. I remember her well.

I
bet you still miss her dreadfully.

Sherry

I was looking at photographs of her and Izzi last night. I miss the way that
Fenda shadowed me, she always wanted to be close to us. I miss her silly
little wet tongue that stayed stuck out after she'd cleaned herself because
she was too dopy to put it back in her mouth. And I miss the feel of Izzi's
fur until my hand, she was the most strokeable, velvety cat I've ever shared
my life with. I miss Izzi's glares and complaints, and the way she always
expected me to put the world to rights for her express comfort.

Thank you Sherry, it's nice to get the chance to talk about them.
