In message "MaryL"
-OUT-THE-LITTER did ramble: That hotline (1-888-426-4435) is NOT free. They will charge $45 to your credit card. If you call 1-900-680-0000, you get the same hotline but the $45 is charged to your phone. Thanks. I have changed the notes in my files to reflect this. Are you given an option on the 4435 number to accept or reject, or is the fee added as soon as contact is made? I think this number was free at one time, but obviously not now. You cannot be billed for dialing a (888) number. You and the party you are calling can arrange for payment if you agree to pay (by providing a credit card, bank account information, or promising to send money) With a (900) number you are billed effectively as soon as you call, although IIRC there is a mandatory billing-announcement period, during which the (900) number is legally obligated to inform you of the charges, and permit you to disconnect without charges. -- Who is General Failure and why is he reading my disk? |

That makes sense, but I wanted to be sure. This is a service that was free at one time, so I have amended my files. MaryL |

Eq,
I think everyone can do their own research if they want to find out if he's a troll or not, but very kind of you to do as zuzu22 did to me and inform everyone of messages we've already seen. Everyone in here is mature enough to make up their own minds about BigDaddy and didn't need to see previous post. By the way, I haven't seen zuzu22 posting much lately in here, but she sure was quick to do a complete search on me way back to May of last year and enlighten everyone of my personal life. Are you and zuzu related by chance? BigDaddy, if you're reading this, be aware that all of your post are archived to Google.com newsgroups and all it takes is one asshole to do a search on your name and spread personal posts all over the net. There are a few people who enjoy this sort of thing because they are perfect (in their eyes) There were many who good advice to you and some who bashed you (as they tend to do here unless you are in their clique). Just listen to the advice of those who are genuinely concerned and ignore the rest. Good luck. |
