Cristobel = Whineball
Is that a word? Sort of like a furball but she whines when she doesn't want to be picked up, touched, when I get home, when she wants to go out but can't, etc. ~Melanie |

... I'm taking an animal behavior class right now, so I've been paying special attention to my cat's behavior patterns. Cats are all so different! I think it would be a fun experiment if people could pick one word to describe their cat and post it here on the newsgroup. The trick is that you shouldn't read anybody else's reply until you've picked a word. This will eliminate suggestion and bias. I'm thinking/hoping that the words we pick will all be very different! Have fun! My word will be in the next post. -Jen Half the people you know are below average. -Steven Wright Bandit: BAAAAAAAAAAAD Demi: Scared Jessie: Fast Sammy: Mischevious Hugs, CatNipped |

Sort of like a furball but she whines when she doesn't want to be picked up, touched, when I get home, when she wants to go out but can't, etc. Heh! My Gnarly did this. The long, very high-pitched "mmmmm MMMMMMMMmmmmmmMMMMMMM" with the big "Ms" being even higher pitched. It was a modified growl. Buddha grunts and squeaks. I have honestly never seen another cat to this. If she is in a mood I pick her up and she squeaks then makes noises like she is being squeezed and continues until I put her down. She also snores softly in her sleep like a very low moan. Hilarious. |

Blaise - boyish (he is a little boy and he acts just like a little
boy) Collette - cautious Collette makes this same kind of noise although it is lower in pitch. We have called it "grumbling". She also makes a "chuffing" sound when I pick her up and snores in her sleep. She is calico so I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Ann "Mary" wrote in message . com...
