Default Jackie goes to the vet

I figured that I'd better take her in. She lost some weight and is now
5.4 lbs, down from 5.7. That's the bad news. The good news is that
there was an anal sac problem and it was cleaned out, so hopefully the
little brown trail will cease.

Also good news is that she was a perfect angel when they took her
blood, in sharp contrast to the first attempt last month when it
wasn't possible because she was freaking out so much. They're doing
the super profile, so we'll get the CBC and all the chems.

That was the major problem last time, that we couldn't get any blood
to find out what was going on. So, hopefully on Tuesday, we'll know a
lot more and examine the treatment options.

Thanks for the pointers on the anal sacs; I just figured that the
diarrhea was causing the leaking.

Oh, good, one problem easily solved! I recognized the symptom as similar to
when one of my cats had the same problem - little brown stains showing up
here & there and a tissue pressed to her rear had the same brown stain. A
trip to the vet's solved it. No more leaky anal sacs.

I hope the blood work will show something that can be treated & that she can
then eventually gain back weight.
