We just learned that our a kitty in the household of our Paw's brother
Pat has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Pat had in the last few months become
servant to Clarence, a feral kitty who decided that he liked the look and
feel of Pat's house. Clarence got along wonderfully with Pat's other
kitty, Mr Gruff, and Pat's two dogs.

We don't know the details yet, but it appears that Clarence (whose fill
full name was Clarence the Cross-eyed Cat) had lived a really rough life
(as evidenced by his many scars and torn-up ears), and his difficult
former life must have finally taken it's toll.

At least we know that Clarence's last months were a time of happiness,
comfort, and abundant food and pettings.

Oh, Amelia, we are so very sorry to hear about poor Clarence
Would you like me to light a candle for him? I don't know how to make it
into 5 letters.
We are so glad to hear that Clarence's last months on Earth with Pat were
a time of happiness, comfort, and abundant food and pettings.
Bless Pat's heart.
Loves in sorrow and purrs for Uncle Pat, and his house.

Mosey, PookyKat, Sqweex, Pipps and our Mom Kyla .. all sad

I'm so sorry to hear of Clarence's trip to the Bridge.

How very sad that he lived most of his life as a feral, only finding a
human to serve him so close to the end of his life.

As you said, at least he got to enjoy the kind of life every cat
should have, before he left for the Bridge, even though it wasn't for
very long. But, his last memories will be of good food, and warm soft
places to sleep, and a person who loved him.

So many cats don't even have a brief time of such good fortune, as
Clarence had.
