Perfect fit stepping in for Peter Gabriel on lead vocals AND playing the drums http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=manxPVTLth8 ------ WOW, Jill.... thanks for posting this. I enjoyed watching/listening. I heard Phil no longer sings b/c he's losing his hearing... ·.·´¨ ¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) Laurie ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- ((¸¸ ·.· *~*LiveLoveLaugh*~* All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother. ~Abraham Lincoln Allegedly that was his farewell performance. .. Another example is the entire "The Thieving Magpie (La Gazza Ladra)" live album by Marillion. I am in love with you! La Gazza Ladra by Marillion is one of the finest pieces of music ever recorded and these days most people haven't heard of Marillion or if they have it's with Hogarth. I have endless rows with friends of mine who tell me they're as good as they ever were and Hogarth is a better vocalist etc.... Hogarth might be a better vocalist technically but his lyrics are nowhere near as good as Fish and Fish's voice was such a beautifully emotive one- Fish reduced me to tears- Hogarth did nothing for me and never has Lesley Slave of the Fabulous Furballs |

And more often than not, I tend to listen to it as a whole, rather than as individual songs. It works like an opera, in a way. and these days most people haven't heard of Marillion or if they have it's with Hogarth. By the way, I always thought Phil Collins was saying "I can feel it coming in the OTHER NIGHT." People mishear words all the time- there's a Michael Jackson song "Off the Wall" (I think) and however much I hear it I cannot be unconvinced he isn't signing on the chorus "Come on do the bus stop up -don't stop till you get it up" There's a ton of websites on misheard lyrics Lesley Slave of the Fabulous Furballs |

* *Yeah, Hogarth sings like a fish. I did like "Season's End"- "king of Sunset Town" is a great track but you have to remember some of the songs from that were from the final sessions with Fish- to me that's the last time Marillion sounded interesting I brought Holidays in Eden and that was it Fish has been inconsistent ever since "Suits" is not a good album for example but he's also given the World "Credo" "Raingods with Zippos" "Faith Healer" (I know it;s a cover I saw SAHB do it as well)", "Family Business", "Vigil" "Big Wedge" "long cold winter" "Goldfish and Clowns" "Internal exile" "Brother 52", "the company", "Fellini nights", "Perceptions of Johnny Punter". "Sunsets on empire"......amongst others Excuse me just going to load my CD player.... Lesley Slave of the Fabulous Furballs |
