The Jellicle Ball: A New Day Has Begun

Even though she can not see the sky above, Misty knows that the New
Day has begun: The tributes have been read, the toasts made, the
reading of names of those deserving to come back to a different
Jellicle Life been put forward, and the whole thing presided over by
Bast's own High Priestess herself. What a Jellicle Ball this has
been!!! Now begins the three day period of meditation and
contemplation, that follows each Jellicle Ball, to ponder the meaning
of Life, of Love, and of those who we hold dear. As Misty stretches
by the cool running water, and takes in the smell of the grass she
had curled up in, she remembers all the the strange events of this
year's Ball. She smiles in fondness at the little hankie with the
beautiful monogram of the Temple and the inscription that reads 16th
Annual Jellicle Ball. She stretches some more and heads off to find
both Rebecca and Anuit. It is time to go home before the Bobcat wakes
up, but Misty smiles secretly to herself, that might not be for
another few hours, still.... suddenly Misty stops as she remembers how
she got here!!!! She had been asleep, when there was a sudden tingling
in her body, and all of a sudden she appeared at the entrance to the
cave. Humm she needs to ask Anuit, if her Dark Power will allow her to
materialize back home, only problem is it is no longer night. Misty
realizes she has a problem on her paws!!!

Hello, Misty. Please don't be in too big a hurry - it looks like many
kitties are still absorbed in thinking of their passed loved ones. I'm
sure that the kitty time-dilation effect has been employed, so many of
the kitties here will remain for the span of a few more days, yet still
return home on the same day they left

As for your dilemma, I'm sure we can assist. Your Dark Power will still
serve you well, we'll just make a couple tweaks in the relativistic
fields surrounding your hoomin's house, so you can still use magical
travel to return home. Or, in a pinch, we've got lots of teleporters
available for you to use.

I do hope that you will return to visit with us when you are able. I
suspect that we could learn a great many things from each other.

this year's Jellicle Ball. That you allowed mortal cats into this Holy
place is a true Blessing. It will be a long time before this Ball is
out done.

I'm not in a "real" hurry, but within these Temple walls I have lost
track of time, but I do need to get home before the sun rises... or
maybe a few hours after, as the Bobcat seldom rises before 10 in the
morning given all the "drugs" he is on; too Bobcat probably knows
where I am since he is a HC and has presented tributes for my Great,
Great, Great Grandmother Bonnie the Black Panther, and for my Brother
Phantom the Black Panther only a few years ago, still.... Maybe I'll
hang out here for a few more hours, as I really need some food. This
has been truly the most restful Jellicle Ball I have ever attended, I
fell asleep just listening to the water flow by. Sadly, my Power is
of the Night and only works during the night time, once the sun comes
up... well you understand. I still have no idea how I ended up here
still the power that pulled me here I suspect can be reversed, and can
transport me home. Kind of odd... no teleporter required. If you will
show me the way over to where the food is it would be greatly
appreciated.

Here, the building with walls of citrine quartz. We have buffet tables
along the walls, loaded with goodies from FluffyKitz Catering as well our
own local chefs, and those lovely MouseSicles and MiceCream deserts! Lots
of turkeybird (we've been missing out on that in here, we must rectify
that!), and roast beast, and barbequed ear of sooven, and so many other
yummy goodies.

I believe - let me check my monitor - yes, though you all have been in
this chamber for over 24 hours, it's still the night on the 12th in the
world above. In fact, if you look through the dome of our ceiling you'll
see the moon still overhead. It's lovely being able to master the flow of
time, isn't it?
