Default OMG! Poor Archer

This would be sad if it weren't so funny, or maybe it would be funny if
it weren't so sad? Archer jumped up to the TV tray I have set up next
to my closet. I used to throw my sweaters on it to save me all the work
of opening the closet and hanging them up. Archer used to love to nap
on them. However, I've been hot constantly lately so I found the energy
to actually hang the sweaters and I've been using the TV tray to hold my
purse.

Archer jumped up to the TV tray to investigate the new decor. He
somehow got the straps of my purse slung around himself. I didn't even
see him doing it, I just heard thu-thunk, thu-thunk, thu-thunk and by
the time I looked over to the TV tray it was bare of both Archer and my
purse. I got up an tried to run after him (OK, I crawled out of bed and
hobbled to the base of the stairs). I was following a trail of spilled
items from my purse... compact, nail file, tissues, etc. Ben was at the
top of the stairs saying "What the...?", my purse was halfway up the
upper part of the staircase and Archer was peering down at me the great
room floor upstairs asking if it was dead yet and was he safe.

I had to laugh, even though I try not to laugh in my cats' faces no
matter how unintentionally amusing their behavior may be, but this time
I couldn't help myself. Archer is so like me, clumsy and with the worse
luck for getting himself into insufferable situations.

I know what you mean!! Don't know how many times mine have gotten
caught in the handle holes of plastic shopping bags and I have had to
chase them through the house trying to catch and release them from the
bag!!

Handles on purses, handles on bags. Two totally different things.
