Every time I open the program it takes forever downloading messages, spam and who knows what else before I can even look at an email or a newsgroup post. The spam does go into a separate folder where I can delete it, but the time lag is really annoying. If I could find another free program that supported newsgroups, I'd drop Thunderbird in a minute. Joy -- Joy Unlimited Colorful Crocheted Critters Photos at http://www.PictureTrail.com/joy9 Have you considered Eternal September? It's free, seems normal to me, but I believe it does not support binaries Sylvia I use Eternal September with no problem but like you said no binaries which is why I use FB so I can post my pics. There are other ways to post links for pics. I use tinypic. Jill I have post links to things here before and got the remark that people do not trust going to these external links. :-( If I know who's posting them (I recognize your name, Larry) I don't have a problem clicking on links. It's the spammers we are wary about. Jill |

It is indeed a consideration when you have pets. Judith Did you look at the picture in the link? Not the same coyote, mind you, but it's pretty darn big! Jill ah, not the same coyote. So maybe there's a bit of scaremongering going on. I'm sure coyotes can get as big as that, but it might be unusual. When I was trapping foxes in my hen run years ago, I once got a dog fox that weighed 28lbs. Huge, but mostly they don''t get as big as that. I've stopped trapping as it's pointless, as vermin controllers from the city let their trapped foxes out a few fields away. They've been seen doing it. So my hens are now in a Fort Knox. When a fox came during the day and was still killing my hens when I got home from work, it was war. So I decided that it was the last thing he/she would ever do. It was. |

They were free-range during the day, but she would call them as dusk approached and they would all follow her into the chicken coop. As you said, it was her version of Fort Knox to protect them from foxes and other predators. MaryL |

No, they didn't get a picture of the rabid coyote. They had to kill it in order to test it for rabies. I wouldn't post a picture of a dead animal even if I had one available. So maybe there's a bit of scaremongering going on. Nope. That picture was one of just many easily found in my area (now that I know we have them in South Carolina). Just because there are no coyotes in the UK doesn't mean a thing. I'm sure coyotes can get as big as that, but it might be unusual. I think it's probably pretty common for coyotes to get big. Jill |
