Yeah, I have three fancy dresses now that I'll probably never wear, but I
won't take them back! ; I'll have to put them on and take some
pictures -
one is a slinky, sparkly floor length number, and one is a conservative
black velvet, floor length skirt with matching, low-cut jacket. I think
the
real reason I kept looking was that I wasn't really comfortable in either
(I
have this notion that 54-year-olds should not try playing the "sexy" card!
;

Hugs,

CatNipped

And why not? Y' ain't dead are ya? You look great in the one you showed
us.

In most of the world, a "woman of a certain age" is considered very
attractive. And there are plenty of actresses and other celebrities who
haven't seen fifty in a long time who are still very sexy.

Let's think of sexy old-timers... Racquel Welch... Sophia Loren... Oprah
Winfrey...

And let us not forget the painter Botticelli who considered women during the
Middle Ages (not their ages!) to be most enticing (as did everyone else) if
they had a bit of meat on their bones. Twiggy would have looked like..
well, a twig. In fact, she did

It's just that I've always thought that there is something a bit ridiculous
with an older woman trying to wear clothes that are so obviously made for
young women/teenagers. Not that I think older women can't be beautiful and
sexy - just that they should do it in a different way. Wearing mini skirts
or drastic décolletage makes it seem like they're trying to recapture a
youth that is long gone. Sexy, at my age, should be more a state of mind
than a state of dress.

Hugs,

CatNipped
