God Bless Ian Anderson for being a cat lover. Purrs for all those who have
gone to the Bridge.

I've never heard this song before. What a beautiful way to honour his cat
(and any cat).

I'd never heard it before, either. But knowing Ian is a cat lover (he
raises Bengals) I did some searching. Love his music

Ian Anderson supported the organisation I worked for in Belize very
heavily. I had the pleasure of his company for a day when he came to
meet the margays we took with us and talked cats with him for hours.
He is a genuine cat lover and a genuinely nice man, who adores his
cats.

Someone once told me that there was no actual band "Jethro Tull"
that there was only Ian Anderson and a stream of hired musicians (not
equal band members), who would then either be fired or would quit
because he was so egotistical and tyrannical.

If I had that talent I'd be egosistcal and tyrannical too. Play the flute
like that, or the guitar and keyboards and have that voice.... hmmm.

I remember the promo for the first album making a big deal of how he
started playing the flute only three weeks before they recorded it.
This was supposed to be evidence for amazing talent.

I play the flute (and had been for a few years before then). To me
it sounded like that was *exactly* how long he'd been playing. (Look
at Nina Perlove's videos on YouTube for how it ought to be done).

Anderson had a good reputation in the Highlands for creating jobs with
his fishfarm. On the other hand fishfarming as a whole now has a
horrendous reputation (they're salt water battery farms using truly
evil chemicals, the latest scandal being farmed salmon contaminated
with diesel fuel). Dunno if his is any better.

The cat stuff on his site is great, though, and that song for his old
black cat was obviously from the heart.
