TEC OR Cali goes on a diet

Cali has been trying to lose weight for about a month. (OK, we're trying to
get Cali to lose weight and she's doing her best to stay fat). She's been
begging for food, doubling up on her meat portions (not all bad), stealing
Smokey's food and trying to get different family members to feed her
breakfast.

But her most annoying habbit, has to be the early morning wakeup calls. She
did this in the past, but it was usually around 7 am and she would
eventually leave you alone. Her usual technique was to purr in your ear or
if you were being stubborn to tap you on the nose with her paw. She would
also walk across your stomach if she was getting desparate. I found that
sleeping on my side or pulling the sheets over my head would discourage her
and she would give up after a couple of attempts. But the last week she has
been a real pest. Sleeping on my side is no longer effective, she easily
traverses my entire body from head to food without falling off. She has also
found a counter measure for pulling the sheets over my head, she sits on my
face. Not to mention her persistence has increased by a factor of ten. She
starts about 3 am and comes back every 15 minutes until she gets breakfast.
