would your cat go for this?

Sweep (RB) was a touch my tummy and I'll kill you cat. I got quite worried one day when a little girl about 7 years old came up to me in the street and asked if I was Sweep's Mommy. (Sweep always loved to play with the local children and they loved to play with her too.) I replied that I was and she said those heart stopping words "Sweep doesn't like having her tummy stroked does she?". Regaining my breath I agreed that she doesn't and asked how the little girl knew. She said because when she'd stroked Sweep's tummy, Sweep had got up and walked away. PPhhew! Bless that cat. She'd already gashed DH's boss's hand open when he didn't heed her, and our, warnings after he'd rubbed her tummy once and did it again. As I said she was so good with children. So was KFC, she was horribly grumpy with me but fantastic with children. She never reacted badly at all when my nine month old nephew grabbed her skin and pulled hard. My heart was in my mouth, I thought she would slash him. She purred and headbutted him. Phew. She really liked children. She was at her best with them. Maybe because she came from a home with children (she did) |
