Default Mean kitten

We went to my dad's house for Father's Day. I thought it would be
great to see his cute little kitten, Lucy.

Hah! Lucy has become the calico kitten from hell.

I found out (one yowling cat, and several scratch-marks later) that
Lucy no longer likes to be picked up. And after my single attempt at
picking her up, Lucy decided that I am permanently on her do-not-trust
list.

In fact, every time I approached her, she hissed at me. When I tried
to apologize to her, she slapped me, with claws out. Once, she even
waited until my back was turned, to charge and attack my knee (which
was thankfully covered with denim).

I blame my sister for this - she torments that poor kitten
mercilessly, and plays rough with her, then laughs when Lucy gets mad.

Phooey. I wanted to cuddle Lucy.

Start treating your sister the same way she does the poor kitty. When she
complains, just laugh at her. THEN tell her "now you know how Lucy feels".

I just had to ask: does your sister have a low IQ? Only people who do
not comprehend well would "play rough" with a cat. Too bad your parents
didn't have more like you. (You may quote this to your sister).

I do have to say my friend has a cat that went from sweet cat to one person
cat and mean to even ME who took care of her often while she was growing up.
However, if your sister is really rough with her it certainly wouldn't help.
