Default Suicidal rodent

There is a rodent or a rodent family digging a trench through the
outdoor enclosure. I think it's a mole but the hole for entrance looks
bigger, so maybe chipmunks. It goes directly through the cat's
enclosure and tonight Rhett and Scarlett dug into the tunnel trying to
find it.

If your moles are the same as ours they only do underground tunnels and pop
up in molehills.

Here, it would be a rat.

Perhaps a vole? We have one that lives right outside the front door. He
comes out and frolics around in broad daylight. Great kitty entertainment.
