Is she trying to tell me something?
I have a small fireplace in my apartment. It has a mesh draw-screen.
Persia doesn't mess with the fireplace. She likes to lay in front of it on a pillow and watch the flames, but mostly she ignores it. It rained all day yesterday and this morning is drizzly and misty. The temperatures are still close to 60F (that's 14C). They are predicting it could drop down to 34F 1C) tonight or tomorrow night. So I brought in more firewood to dry out on the hearth. Persia watched this with great interest. I came into my 'office'. Shortly after I heard the distinctive CLUNK of the fireplace flue clattering open. I went into the living room. Persia was sitting next to the fireplace. The mesh screen was still closed, but she didn't even run off when it clanged open. Did she use her catly powers to indicate she wants me to light a fire? Hmmmm. Jill |

Hmmmm. Sure sounds that way :-). Felix once led me to the VCR and meowed while staring up at it. The video for "Cats" was lying on the VCR at the time. I picked up the video and asked him, "Do you want me to play this?", and I swear he nodded! I did play it for him, of course. :-) -- "The universe is quite robust in design and appears to be doing just fine on its own, incompetent support staff notwithstanding. :-)" - the Dennis formerly known as (evil), MCFL |
