Tonight

Tommy and Baby Eyes have been taking turns washing each other's heads for
hours (these two cats should never be separated), while Billy and Beatrice
have been running around making a mess of things. They managed to remove the
lid of one of the covered litter boxes and move it across the utility room,
and knock over a stack of books on a bookshelf, and more.

Abelard and Eli have been playing together most of the evening, chasing toys
and batting at one another from either side of an open door. Meanwhile Lily
has been mostly laying at my feet.

I'm still in awe of the fact that Eli, who used to terrorize Abelard so
badly that he would stay out for days at a stretch, is now Abelard's good
buddy. I pray the same thing will one day happen with Eli and Lily. She's
not utterly terrified by him anymore, but he still - once in a great while -
attacks her and tries to tear her to shreds.
