Persia is a Goofy Cat

Persia has a number of kitty toys in the living room. A crinkly mylar ball,
a bottle-brush mouse (literally made from a natural fiber bottle brush with
a sisal rope tail with a bell on it, and little felt eyes and ears). She
has mousies that rattle (they used to have tails). Then there's her
favourite re-fillable plush fabric catnip "mouse".

Normally her toys are scattered all over the room. A few days after John
arrived I started noticing they were all bunched up in a tight little group
in the middle of the room. At first I thought John had done it. (He's an
artist; who knows what he'll do!) But he said no, he didn't touch her toys.
So I conducted a little experiment. I spread them out. We had some errands
to run yesterday. When we got back, the toys were all bunched up in a group
again. Is she afraid John is going to mess with her toys?! Who knows what
goes on in those little minds of theirs?

It's not like he's a stranger. Sure, he only visits a few times a year but
she knows him. And she takes over his shoes (sandals) the minute he slips
them off his feet. She rolls around on them, rubs her head all over them,
marking them with her scent. Oh, so it's okay for you to mess with *his*
"toys", but you're afraid he'll bother yours? LOL Cats are just plain
goofy. And so adorable!

Maybe she was gathering them all together for his convenience?

She's certainly very adorable! I suspect this is a common thing - Buster
also keeps his toys clustered. In his case, it has the dual benefit that
when he trots over to his stash and sits next to it, staring at me, that
communicates very clearly that he wants to play.

Strangely, Dot also goes over to his stash when she wants to play. They're
her toys too, but she leaves the feng shui to Buster.

You're lucky. When Licky wants to play, he runs around emitting a long
series of loud and very demanding yowls. Whereas Roxy trots over to the
"petting and playing area," rolls onto her back and waves her arms around.
