[TW] Blacky has left for Rainbow Bridge
Micha wrote:
On Monday, 22nd October at about 4:30 pm our vet put him out of his misery. After his stay at the animal's hospital we gained some hope. But back at home he ate less from day to day, no favourite food, no treats could help. With all his dwindling strength he struggeld against giving him medicine directly into his mouth. Only his heart tablets - crushed and put into butter - he accepted till the end. He stopped cuddling with us. Then he rejected his heart tablets as well. He wouldn't drink any more. When I held a wet finger before his mouth, he just turned his head away. His strength was weakening more and more. We then decided to end his pain. We buried him the same evening in our garden - side by side with Zwinkie, who left us in May 2001 due to reneal failure as well. Very sad greetings Michael A candle has been lit and we're sending comfort purrs your way. Sam, closely supervised by Mistletoe |

It is especially hard when you watch your beloved cat dwindle away, and suffer. You have given him the kindest, and most difficult gift of all: freedom from pain and suffering. I have a special glass candle holder in the shape of a sleeping cat; the cat is curled around where the candle goes. I only use it to light candles for the cats who have gone to the Bridge. (And it seem like I have lit so many lately....). The candle will burn all night long, for Blacky. Can you post a picture of him on alt.binaries.pictures.animals? I would love to see him, as he was in his prime. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Life without cats would be only marginally worth living." -TC, and the unmercifully, relentlessly, sweet calico kitty, Kenzie. Purrs for your grief to ease, soon. Still, letting him go out gently was the kind, responsible thing to do, however hard. Melissa |

No, I have no access to binary groups, but you can see him on our web page: http://www.curschmann-sachsen.de together with all his late and still living companions. (I am sorry that the english version of the site does not work :-( and navigation does not work properly -don't found the reason so far. But if you start the basic adress given above and click on "Katerseiten" you find a preview page. Unfortunately the preview pics don't work as well, but if you click on one the respective picture gallery works. I have bought an update of my web page designer program lately and will have to overhaul the site ASAP....) My dear Michael,
Another black cat surely came to meet yours as he came to the Elysian Plains, and Odessa will keep Blacky company until you meet again. Blessed be, Baha Micha wrote: On Monday, 22nd October at about 4:30 pm our vet put him out of his misery. After his stay at the animal's hospital we gained some hope.
