Sorry, but the messenger kills it for me. Moore is another member of the Blame
America First crowd and I just think his personal conduct is despicable. I won't be seeing any of his garbage, thank you. IMO, it´s not a matter of blaming America. If you become aware of what is wrong in your country you can work to make it better. It´s not going to get any better if you just sit back and pretend it´s perfect. Moore is another member of the Blame America First crowd No, it's about taking responsibility for what America does. and I just think his personal conduct is despicable. Which personal conduct is that? Catching people in lies? Umasking the absurdity, greed and lies of government and corporations? Exposing the ugly reality of the policies of this administration? If there are more guns per capita in Canada than in the U.S Where do you get that figure? US Bureau of Justice Statistics and Statistics Canada reveals that the US has over three times the number of guns per capita as Canada; the number of *handguns* per capita is 63.3 times higher. Where did I get it? I didn't "get" that figure at all. Sorry, that's what I remembered Moore saying in the movie, but possibly what he said is that Canada has nearly as many guns per capita as the U.S. does (and you will have to ask him where he got that figure because I don't remember--it's been a while since I saw the movie). Some reviews of the movie mention his point about guns being just as easily available in Canada as in the U.S., yet the comparative rate of homicides using guns in Canada is a fraction of what it is here. His question is why? What's the difference? Some people (who haven't seen Bowling for Columbine) think the film supports gun control, but that isn't what he's saying. |

That's too bad, Chris. I think you could definitely benefit from this movie.
Sometimes being so close minded prohibits a person from learning. Why do you think I would benefit from this movie? I'm simply not interested in Michael Moore making any money off of me. If the message is so powerful and important, why not just sum it up in 3 or 4 sentences? |
