Avoid this if you don't want to get really ****ed.

The environmentalists want us to eat our pets:

http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com...-eat-your-pet/

Apparently the carbon footprint of a cat is about the same as a Volkswagon
Golf.

Here's the book they reference:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Time-Eat-Dog.../dp/0500287902

(The book isn't just about pets. The title is just designed to get people
****ed enough to read more of it.)

I'm not going to read any of it. I'd eat an environmentalist before I'd eat
my cats.

bite out of being alone. - Louis J. Camuti

Um, Scratch? Just because one nutcase proposes a ridiculous idea doesn't
mean "the environmentalists" all want us to eat our cats. Please give me
a break. Even libertarians need to be able to breathe and be protected
from UV rays.

Sloppy politics, I'm afraid.

So we should eat cars. Not cats.

The people who say things like this don't represent a majority of or
even a large percentage of the environmentalist movement. I'm not a
Green and I'm too much of libertarian (or classical liberal) to want
anyone telling me how big my #$#$$ carbon footprint should be but some
of this sort of thing gets posted in order to DISCREDIT the movement
and most of it, while not trying to discredit the movement, is still
way beyond what serious Greens are all about.

Agreed! That site is just some idiot with a wacko idea. It doesn't
represent the (*necessary*) environmental movement any more than
PETA represents most of us who love animals.

Tell that to the people in Kalifornia whose water has been shutoff to
save a small fish, wiping out their farms and livelihood... greenies don't
care about humans, after all, humans are the cause of everything wrong with
the earth, don't you know?
