Don't forget the time zone! It was someone shrewd enough
to change their PC clock unless it really did come from GMT
+13.

Interesting observation Karma, I mean Cheryl, thanks for
pointing this out.

I thought you was awful quiet for a few days...hehehe

I've been busy. And disgusted.

What is troubling me the most is this.

Mary posted here for 3 years.
Right at 10,000 post

Sounds about right.

This is not the pattern of someone wanting to tear down a
newsgroup I have no clue what a troll is, or does, maybe it's a
name people give to troublemakers, who knows...

I don't personally believe that Mary was trying to tear the
place down.

I don't have an opinion on this yet, I may never; but it just
comes off like people being people. Any subsequent "names"
assigned or attributed to that person are incidental. see.

People being people? LOL

Just my 2 cents.

The punishment does not "appear" to fit the crime.

Punishment? As she's so fond of saying, she can post wherever,
whatever she pleases.

Oh, what is troubling me is that Mary is silent.

You know what I think, I think Mary is just tired.
Not old and tired, or played out and tired, just
tired, maybe it has nothing to do with this group, you know,
not entireley.

I get weary sometimes and just need a change of scenery.

I fear that I may have put pressure on her to continue
here, even though she may have been looking for an out.

Trying very hard to condense my thoughts right now.
(Last thing anyone needs is more words)

Yup. No more from me. I'm disgusted by quite a few things and
things are better left unwritten.

Hmmm, I've remember reading that term here before somewhere.
Off to google
a bit...

[...]
The Big 8 hierarchy is part of usenet history. Way back when,
before the split, there didn't use to be divided categories such
as we see in the big 8. Rec, Misc, Sci, Talk, Soc., etc. are all
the divided topic headers for the Big 8. Alt. is not included in
the big 8. This has been a term that has been used for at least
the 20+ years that I've been on Usenet.

Gee whiz. I guess this means I didn't invent the term. lol

Although, I'm sure they're not the only people in the world to use
that
newsreader. It is one of the latest versions of OE.

Oh, I can't see it being him. Yes, he has the motive but it doesn't
sound even vaguely like his writing style. And I just can't see him
taking the time to do all that.

We need some photos to analyze to determine who it might be! Has
anyone posted new pictures of their cats with a computer screen in the

It's also not a particularly "new" version. I checked mine after
reading this, and I have the same version -- came as part of XP when I
purchased my computer several years ago (plus regular updates since
then -- routine). It's not unusual at all for someone to use that
version.

MaryL

In case you missed it, Microsoft has not supported Outlook Express for
at least a couple of years. Hence, version 6 is the final release. OE
is still included with many Internet Providers' dial up software. There
IS "QuoteFix" for Outlook Express which is a homespun patch program for
OE 6 numerous shortcomings.

It may be "new" in the sense of MS support, but my point was that it has
been available for so long that it isn't at all unusual to se it in use.
I regularly update XP (which *is* still updated regularly by MS), but I
have not specifically looked for OE support.

MaryL

Please re-read. I said MS has NOT supported OE for at least a couple of
years. That means the application is NOT new.

Yes, I didn't correctly link to some of the previous posts. Part of my
response was a reaction to what CatNipped wrote. That is, she said " It
seems nobody so far took note of the OE version 'Karma' posted with. Very
few here use that version, and one stands out." IMO, that statement is
inaccurate because this version of OE was released several years ago and has
*many* users.

Oh, I know, but the timing was more than a bit suspicious, wasn't it? We
know that Nancy trolls with a group, and nobody was more of a cheerleader
for "Mary" than Trish. That's how troll groups work. I am wondering just

who
else was part of the troll cabal. Charlie? Barry? Phil? KitKat? So many

ponder.

Marjorie

keep pondering Marjorie, see there is this thing in life called work... some
of us do it and have no control over our schedules, we get a good lead on
potential business deals and we take advantage and actually go and meet
these people.

Here was my travel log for the past few days for those who love to dream up
things.

Tuesday at 2:30 pm EST I drove to the airport

Arrived in Vancouver at 10 pm or so their time

Wednesday at 6 pm flew to Calgary arrived there at 10 pm or so Calgary time

Thursday flew back to Toronto arriving at 9 pm EST

Tonight we had an office party

Anything else you want to know? lol dearie, you're amusing in a childlike
way, to say the least

I believe that if anyone compares Mary to Hitler, they are stating

that she
has an incredible amount of power in the world. And the ability to

lead
many to do anything and everything that is morally wrong. So, if

you think
Mary compares to Hitler, then you've accepted that she can and will

control
whatever she wants in life, wow.

It was just something that sprung up in my head when I saw the
comment about
Mary loving cats.
That's interesting you feel that someone comparing Mary to Hitler is
stating she has an incredible amount of power in the world. I was
thinking more along the lines that they were both psycho.

I can't even begin to describe how the

comparison makes me feel.

You could try . Give us a clue at least
