Default 5 x 8 carpet stuck to a 5 x 8 piece of wood?

Has anyone tried putting a 5 x 8 piece of carpet on a 5 x 8 piece of
plywood/whatever and then just leaning it up against the wall?

Karen said she put carpet pieces on her wall, so I guess using a
board leaned up against a wall might work too. Maybe with a platform
on top somehow. I hadn't really thought of something very much wider
than a 2 x 4. Since carpet pieces come in 5 x 8, and wood comes in 5
x 8, that would be very easy to do (except maybe for platforms, and
getting the wood home).

Thanks.

Actually plywood comes in 4' x 8' sheets.
My Lowes has carpet runners that are about 28" wide and cut to any length
you want. You could get a piece of plywood ripped into two 2' x 8' pieces
and make a climbing wall with a platform on top.
