Sad Maya update
Some of you may remember that a couple months ago I asked for a purrs
for a customer's missing cat, Maya. My neighbor was moving, and like so many stories I've heard in the past, the movers opened a door that was supposed to stay closed. Maya, a strictly indoor cat, bolted outside and disappeared. Well, today I learned that, after missing for about 6 weeks, the neighbors found Maya. She had found her way home and was hiding under the new tenants' car. The neighbors tried to feed her, but unfortunately, Maya had been injured, or possibly poisoned. She could barely walk, and was convulsing. Ultimately she had to be helped on the way to the RB. Although I never had the pleasure of actually meeting Maya, she used to sit in the window and supervise me while I worked. Please join me in lighting a candle for Maya, and purr for the nice cat-lady who lost two of her four cats this summer. |
