Help Onyx to the Bridge... :-(

Hi Furkids... I have some sad news that I thought about sharing tomorrow when all is said and done, but... Onyx will be making his journey to the Rainbow Bridge tomorrow. His Grandmeowmie says that his thyroid is finally getting the best of him. He's sleeping a LOT, and is "uncomfortable" (may be in pain... he's not wanting to smurgle with anyone, and he is having trouble moving around). He's finally losing hair, too. Mom thinks it's time to help him on his way to the RB, especially since they will be leaving for their southern winter home digs soon. Mom doesn't want to put him through a long trip, especially since he's sort of acting like it's his time to "go" NOW, already. She's REALLY not sure he'll make it down to where they stay during the winter months, and would rather not put him through a hellacioussp? trip if there's a good chance he either won't make it through the trip altogether or would go to the bridge shortly after he made it through the trip. In short, it's time. Onyx would have been 16 this October, and has been fading for the better part of the last year. I am sure he would appreciate your purrs and prayers tomorrow morning as he begins his journey to the RB, where he will join Shahna, the love of his life, and all of his other friends he has known over the years. Fangu. Sadly, Unca Cory I don't know if I ever mentioned this, but according to Onyx's TED, a "normal" thyroid level/number is .4, give or take. Onyx's was *13*... *NOT* 1.3, but *13*. --- Unca Cory |

Help Onyx to the Bridge... :-(
Cory,
I'm so sorry to have just seen this post! I've been out of the country and away from a computer!!! While I'm sad to read that he went to the bridge, at least he's one healthy and painfree kitty now. Plus, I know Shahna's happy to see her great love once more; as is his brother-in-paw, and fellow black kitty, Shadow. No doubt they both were there to greet him. I bet they're now all having a blast with all the other kitties. I can't believe how heavy my heart is right now, reading this and knowing that he is already gone.
