Hungry Hungry Dante

I awoke about 3:30 AM with a strange sensation in one hand. Hmmm, feels
rough. OW!! You little snot, you *bit* me!!!

Dante had tunneled under my covers, and was licking-- then biting-- my
hand!!

I'm going to have to start sleeping with one eye open. :P

Otis on obnoxiousness in general?

If so, everyone keep an eye out. Jake has been awfully rough with me
lately too. Hangs on with the front paws and then bites and bunny
kicks after he begs me to rub his tummy.

Only safe way out is to stay perfectly still and say to him, "hey,
take it easy" He will stop biting, look and me, and then slowly let
go.

Join the clan with the hungry cats, along with with myself and Marina.
We both have cats that claim they are starving to death. They aren't, of
course - they are just greedy.
In case anyone wants to point that there might be a medical reason for this
and I should rush Boyfriend to the vet, it's not necessary.
The boy is GREEDY. He lurves his food and why shouldn't he after starving
for a while, lost in the out?

I don't know if Sam's 'attacks' are from hunger or dim-wittedness. He
seems to think that a foot that's come out from under the covers and is
hanging off the side of the bed is obviously either edible or dangerous.
The same foot is perfectly safe in any other location.

He also claims he is starving at daily (or more frequent!) intervals. If
the bowl really is empty, and I put food in, he eats one piece of kibble
and walks off. The rest does get eaten, but not immediately after he's
been complaining of starvation and trying to guide me to the kitchen.

I've got to clip that cat's claws - unlike his predecessors, he doesn't
mind having his claws clipped. He does like rearing himself up on his
hind legs and laying his paws on my thigh to indicate he's curious about
what I've got on the table that he just got turfed off of. Of course,
to help keep his balance, he's got to flex those front claws a bit to
make sure he's got a good hold on my leg!
