news:sQQbb.1397$La.1263@fed1read02... I think you are wrong about that. When I adopted Isis I saw exactly what her temperment is like and I made the right choice because in that instant we were bonded. I think cats from shelters are just as good as any purebreed. Well I have had plenty of cats over the past 30 years from rescue, I am not saying purebreds are better, I am saying if you want a particular type of cat it may be very difficult to find a cat in a rescue center, where they are in cages nervous etc, not showing their full personality. However all my previous cats have maybe had a few problems to start off with as most have been very abused by previous owners but what ever they have turned out like, I have never given up on them, and they all turned out to be brilliant cats. -- Panther TEK: Staying On Top Of All Your Computer Needs! www.members.cox.net/catprotector/panthertek Cat Galaxy: All Cats, All The Time! www.catgalaxymedia.com "~*SooZy*~" wrote in message ... Many People choose what breed of dogs they want for different reasons and its expectable..... so why should it not be with cats! I have had many cats from rescue centres over the years, and now I have Ragdolls they are nothing like any of the Moggies I have had before! I chose Ragdolls because I wanted docile, laid back indoor cats! you never know what a rescue cat is going to be like. You cannot tell by visiting a caged cat! However I do sponsor cat rescue.... I think this news group is a brilliant idea! |

... From: "Cat Protector" I think you are wrong about that. When I adopted Isis I saw exactly what her temperment is like and I made the right choice because in that instant we were bonded. I think cats from shelters are just as good as any purebreed. I totally agree, CP! My cats were also adopted from a rescue facility. They are amazing cats. Lauren Ok so my partner wanted a big blue colourpointed semi long haired, docile, follows you around lap cat... that can play fetch and they doesn't mind living indoors. I have never seen a Ragdoll in a rescue centre in the places I have been to in UK I would of had more or less any cat, as I have had over the years, except I would of made sure it had never lived outside! as once before I tried keeping a cat in that had once been able to go out by his previous owner! it was cruel keeping him in :-( so my friend had him! as I do not have a garden. I have nothing against rescue cats, or moggies, and I never said they didn't turn out to be wonderful cats! I also have a moggie as well as the 2 Ragdolls. and even with a purebred there is still no guantee they are going to be just how the breed profile reads. However my cats have turned out in the past, they were all loved dearly. |
