Such a little lady
Hi All,
My little Squidget is the princess of the bunch. At least she tries to act that way. When she's sitting up, with her forelegs straight and her hind legs folded under her, she will modestly wrap her tail around her body and let the tip of it cover her front paws. If she's lying down, but not stretched out, she will cross her front paws. She almost never goes into the four legged open position on her back, in fact she hardly sleeps on her back at all. I'm not sure why I think these are modest, feminine gestures, but she certainly looks demure sitting or lying there that way. Do you notice any gestures or postures that you identify with either your male of female cats? -- Regards and Purrs, O J |

Also, when they do lie on their backs their legs are tucked up with paws folded over. Hugs, CatNipped |

I have no idea whether it was gender-related, or just Mimi and Stinky-related. I always called Mimi "the no- nonsense cat," and Stinky "the all-nonsense cat." I call that one the "elegant" pose. I assumed that both boy and girl kitties could be elegant, but I've only had one cat - Betty, a lady cat. |
