Please purr for a gentle relocation to RB for Marissa. Today will be
the time, after a multi-year fight against adenocarcinoma. For 13
years, the Queen of the Backyard, contented housecat for the last few
weeks, outlived all her companions (Ayla, Studmuffin, Miss Tuffy). The
end of an era.

[Three Jewish kittiez put on their yarmulkes and tallises, assume the
meat loaf position, and begin to purr heartily.]

Many, many thanks for all the kind words and purrs. Marissa did indeed
have a peaceful transition. It was the best possible conclusion of her
life. Her cancer bothered her not at all until Wednesday. The doctor
confirmed that she was on her way out and the timing had been right.
Always plagued with uncertainty about this, I was grateful for his
words. We are going to put her ashes in her favorite wallow spot.

Thank you Mietze, that is so furry true. We think no one is really
sick now but both Camille and Mac have moderate CRF, so next year might
be not so good.
