Default (OT) Mayor responds on electric issue

There was a delay because this week is the bi-annual city cleanup, but the
mayor did finally call me and said he'll be over on Monday with his "entire
crew" to check this house and see what could be the reason for the
excessively high meter readings. I'll post again when the results are in.

Is the mayor employed by the power company?

Somehow, it makes more sense to me to start with the power co.

The city buys electricity from some power company and sells it to the
citizens.

ROFL - no, it's his BIL (wife's DH). You got the
same kind of sense of humor I do. On a more serious
note, this kinda stuff is a stellar example of possibilities
when you buy something like a house w/o a paid professional
inspection (paid by *you*) and either a RE
firm *or* a RE attorney behind you to take care of *all*
details......IOW: you're on your own.

Is the above addressed to me? If so, I have no idea what you mean by it.
