Whoo-Hoo & Ping Sherry
My cards are printed and folded (quite a feat since I had 110 of them when I
included RL friends and family). The story-board is not as good as previous years, but dealing with pain takes away emotional resources as well as physical resources and I just couldn't get up the energy and creativity to get it right. Anyway, now I just have to buy the envelopes and run them through the postage machine at work (gawd knows what that's going to cost, but it's worth it 'cause I love sending out my cards every year). So be looking for a card from me sometime in the next two weeks if you're on the list. And, Sherry, if you send me your address, I lost it - would you mind sending it to me again? My email isn't munged. Thanks! -- Hugs, CatNipped Visit all my masters at: http://www.PossiblePlaces.com/CatNipped/ |

I had 94 this year, Catnipped, and whilst I utilised every single bit of technology at my disposal to make sending them easier, I was still muttering darkly and in some deal of pain writing them out. My office mate kidnly expressed concern about my mutterings and grumblings and was very surprised to hear that I had 94 cards to send. But she put it the other way "Gosh, you are lucky to have so many friends, and they are so lucky to have you!". I stoppped feeling so sorry for myself then. There's at least one lady on the Card list who doesn't get any cards from anyone except from our RPCa card list. Makes the sore arm, the time and the cash far more into perspective if you put it like that. Yowie -- "because its more fun to be evil" - Jarppi, _The Dudesons_ |

My email isn't munged. Thanks! I had 94 this year, Catnipped, and whilst I utilised every single bit of technology at my disposal to make sending them easier, I was still muttering darkly and in some deal of pain writing them out. I was lucky that 36 of mine were for co-workers in my office, so theirs will be placed on their desks without postage. That left "only" 72 for the US Postal Service to (mis)handle. I used my office computer/printer and printed the address labels and return address, and I used the postage machine to add postage. So that left "only" dressing the cats, taking pictures of the cats, sizing and saving the pictures in PhotoShop, creating a "story-board" for the cards, creating the cards in PhotoShop, printing the cards, folding the cards, creating the insets in Word, printing the insets, writing a greeting on the inset, putting the insets inside the cards and stuffing both into the envelopes, brushing all the cats (the most injurious part of the task), pulling apart bits of the resulting fluff and putting that in the envelopes, then gluing and taping the envelopes shut. Whew, that wore me out just typing it!! ; My office mate kidnly expressed concern about my mutterings and grumblings and was very surprised to hear that I had 94 cards to send. But she put it the other way "Gosh, you are lucky to have so many friends, and they are so lucky to have you!". I stoppped feeling so sorry for myself then.
