The cat is a 8 year old male which seems to have an infection around the nose (some congestion) so the cat must have lost smell (and maybe taste) for food. Hi Brian, You might try sprinkling something like Parmesan cheese on the food to make it stinky so the cat will eat. Not much advice except try and get liquid into the cat. I managed to get a syringe from the vet today so I hope that this well help get water into it's month. Regards Brian Brian, When I had to syringe feed one of my cats I mixed his wet food with some water and some Nutrical in the blender and syringe fed him that 3x daily. It's not fun trying to syringe feed a cat. I wrapped him up in a towel and would give him about 1/4 of the syringe at a time so he wouldn't gag and vomit it all up. I did this for about a week before I could finally coax him to eat by offering some nice stinky tuna fish. HTH. Karen |
