[OT] The Yowlet turns 2
I can't believe The Yowlet, my baby, is 2 today. He's no longer a baby, but
very much a little boy, with all the 'boy' traits of liking cars, going fast enough to scare Mum and make Dad proud on his trike, a penchant for hitting things with other things, insatiable curiousity, and of course, the obligatory 'ants in his pants' - he can't stay still for more than a minute unless of course he's asleep. So far, all the birthday means is that he's found toys he hasn't seen before, and that Mum & Dad are allowing him to have slighly more sugar than usual int he form of jelly Belly beans. Other than that, he's totally oblivious to the fuss. On Sunday, we're being brave and inviting 8 more 2 year olds (give or take) to a party.... not at our place though, we're not that insance. They've probaly got them where you are too, but around here, there' sthese 'kiddy gyms', with ball pits, exotic climbing equipment, mazes, and other 'active' play things popping up all over the place, and they organise kids parties for you (yay!). The general idea seems to be to hype them up on sugar and artifical colours & flavours, then let them loose to burn off all the energy on their equipment, and let them run / climb / jump / play it out for a few hours before taking an exhausted (and hopefully sleep) kid home again. Being inthe same room with more than 1 two year old generally fills me with horror, but these places are generally good at having a seperate (and sound proof) parent's area, that serves good coffee & cakes, and has a large collection of gossipy women's magazines to pass the time. We should survive. Then, the weekend after that (or maybe the next one again) we'll have a simple BBQ for family & friends. At this rate, Cary's birthday celebrations may well extend for the whole month. Now *thats* how to have a birthday! Yowe |

Happy birthday to the little hoolikitten! On Sunday, we're being brave and inviting 8 more 2 year olds (give or take) to a party.... Now *thats* how to have a birthday! Ha! Obviously it's an excuse for the adults to party. Hope you all have great time with all the festivities. And congrats to the two adults (and probably to the animals, too) for surviving the Yowlet for 2 years. Joyce |

TWO?!?! He's TWO already? How in the world did that happen? Well, I
know very well how it happened, it just seems unbelievable. He hardly seems to have been walking for very long and now he is TWO? Ready to start thinking about potty training and terrible twos. He isn't a baby any longer. It just seems like yesterday when someone's husband was looking up "yowlet" and couldn't find it because his wife was talking about you having one and he finally had to ask (I still laugh at that story). Well, Happy Birthday, Yowlet. May many more follow. Auntie Bridget Yowie wrote: I can't believe The Yowlet, my baby, is 2 today.
