It was suggested I give her a bath... yeah, right. I called her vet and
she
suggested Omega3 fish oil capsules. Uh huh. Like pilling a cat is any
easier than giving one a bath. LOL

I seem to remember getting a bottle of oil that you could squirt on the
cats
food. But when I moved here it somehow got thrown away. Keep in mind,
Persia eats r/x food for bladder issues and she's getting up there. She's
14 by my best guess. I don't really know.

Scouty tends to get dandruff on her back... it doesn't seem to bother
her. I know Persia's on a restricted diet of mostly kibble - she may
not have enough oils in it for good skin health. Add it to her food.
It can't hurt... They also sell it in a tube as 'kitty vitamins'. Cats
are 'supposed' to love it but Scouty wouldn't touch it with a barge
pole. If all else fails, give her tuna juice from canned tuna. THAT
Scouty will happily lap up.

Persia's weird... she hates tuna and definitely won't eat tuna juice.
Sometimes I can get her to eat the Fancy Feast salmon but for the most part
she's a chicken or turkey girl.

Make sure the tuna juice isn't brine. In the UK, we get canned
tuna in sunflower oil, or spring water, or brine. Brine would be
far too salty to be good for your cat's health.

Fortunately with Persia I don't have to worry about tuna. She hates it!
When she first came to me the vet wanted me to give her pills in case she
had intestinal worms. (We had no idea where she came from or how long she'd
been living outside.) He suggested I tuck the pills in water packed tuna.
She sniffed it, then turned her nose up. I've never been able to get her to
eat tuna. Just as well, that stuff is expensive! I can't say I've ever
seen it packed in brine, but then I don't actually look for it. I don't
like tuna, either!
