Default Bleeding from Whiskers

The other day my cat came running from the top of the garden and when
I looked at his face he had blood underneath his whiskers on one side
of his face.

He only goes into the garden and doesn't venture anywhere else. My
immediate response was that he had caught himself on something. A
bush maybe.

That healed up and today he hasn't been out but walked up to me with
blood coming out of the whisker area on the other side.

If you try and have a look you need to push the whiskers in the
opposite direction and he doesn't like this as it must be sore. Other
than that he is purring and eating.

Also discovered a bald patch under what I call his front armpit.

Anyone experienced this unusual thing?

Could it be that he has fleas and that is flea excrement that got wet and just
turned red? I've put baby opossums and skunks in the sink to wash and the flea
excrement has turned the entire sink red. Is it bright red or medium red?Bright
red would be blood from a cut, darker red could be wet flea excrement.

I would get this cat to the vet. Perhaps he has a serious injury. His
bleeding would certainly support some kind of injury or medical issue.

II didn't say that he's never gone outside before as he was mistreated
as a kitten. He is 12 years old and since moving house in April he
has taken a sudden urge to go into the garden.

He's also been treated with Frontline a few weeks ago and as he is
white I searched through his fur and flea dirt is easy to spot and he
is now clean. The treatment also covers mites and parasites according
to the spray.

I'm starting to think maybe an allergy to a bush or shrub.
