When Debby was a kid, she read EVERYTHING she could get her hands on -- music magazines, biographies, fiction, arts & crafts ...

When Debby was a teenager, she discovered her school district's banned books list and read every single book on it. Gran Meowmie (RB) and The PawPaw were not happy, but not for the reason you think: They didn't think the books should be banned in the first place!

Now, as a later-in-life English major, Debby is back to reading everything she can get her hands on, including what she is assigned in school. I'm sure to scratch on the book cover and to cheek-rub it to show my approval.
