Default transplanting cats from one location to another

I will be moving a friend's two cats from their old home to a new
dwelling.
The friend has been away on vacation for a month, and hasn't seen the
cats. The friends grandmother has been taking care of the cats in the
cats home, which was the friends home until now. Both cats get along
with me extremely well.

I don't want to freak the cats out when I put them in the transport
cage, and take them on the half-hour journey to their new home. They
will surely get nervous, since only the owner has transported them in
the past. However, their owner (the friend) will be waiting with open
arms. Any moving suggestions/techniques will be welcome.

Thanks
