m... "CatNipped" wrote in message ... "tanadashoes" wrote in message ... "CatNipped" wrote in message ... He's filled out quite a bit in the week he's been here. When he first came his little tummy was just about touching his backbone. http://www.PossiblePlaces.com/CatNipped/Garvin/ He is so cute. He reminds me of "Double Pumpkin" who also visits the outside feeder here. Pam S "Double Pumpkin"? There's got to be a story behind that! ; Not really, this humongous stray loves to sit on the enclosure tunnel and yowl at the girls. He's about twice the size of Amanda's boyfriend's cat, Pumpkin, hence the name. Pam S. Oh, see Tak and I were heading down a whole 'nother road with that one! ; Hugs, CatNipped |

Jo I really hope so - although DH was a bit huffed about "getting rid of him" when I mentioned finding him a forever home. But I hope I can convince him that it will be better for Garvin to find a place where he's not just and extra mouth that needs to be fed. Hugs, CatNipped I'm confused (nothing new about that!). He's huffed about "getting rid of him" but is he also huffed about the extra $$ to have him vetted and neutered, not to mention fed? I know a lot of people say "What's one more?" Well, we all know one more can add up to a fortune if there are medical problems! I hope for a good outcome either way. Jill |

(But behind the huffing is a really sweet guy.) I know, even if we can swing the $128 for the initial vet fees we do have to keep feeding him and vetting him for the rest of his life. I'm still holding out for another good home for him - I'll be putting pictures up in the vet's office and elsewhere, but with kitten season here I'm not going to bet the farm on it. Hugs, CatNipped |

Hugs, CatNipped It irks me, always has. Sure, kittens are cute as all get-out. But they *do* grow up to be cats. (I think some people believe they'll just sort of freeze that way. LOL) Even a young adult cat still acts like a hoolikitten. In fact, we have a lot of older cats here who still act like hoolikittens! So why the insistence (by some people) it *must* be a kitten? (It's a rhetorical question.) Jill |

(It's a rhetorical question.) Jill I know, it bugs me too. And, as you said, usually those insisting on a kitten 1) don't realize just how much trouble a kitten can be and 2) decide they don't really want an adult cat after it's just a year old and drop it off at their local shelter! : Hugs, CatNipped |
