I dug the tin out the bin to make sure it didn't contain anything she shouldn't have eaten. It does contain a tiny amount of onion so now I am worried about that. Cats aren't supposed to eat onions? Jay No, they aren't. Onions (and garlic) can be toxic to cats. There's all sorts of info about what human foods cats (and dogs) shouldn't eat. Chocolate is a biggie, too. Jill I knew chocolate was a no-no for dogs, but I didn't think that was true for cats, also. (Never read that garlic and onions had any deleterious effect - some of the pricier moist foods contain them, IIRC.) Just one link as an example: http://cats.about.com/cs/catfood/a/humanfood.htm I was fortunate in that Persia never begged for people food. The only exception was milk, but she only ever got a tiny drizzle of it and she wasn't lactose intolerant. Jill |
