It's lovely to have you back.

Sootie would like to be head mouser.

Judith

I'm not sure she's "back". I sent Kristi an email, as requested, to the
link she posted. I didn't even get the courtesy of a reply.

How long ago? Lots of people let several days go by before checking
their email.

MaryL

It was the same day she posted this. She made it sound like I'd
disappeared. Theresa and Helen have vanished but I'm still a very active
poster. True, some people let days go by before checking email. She said
herself she's between jobs right now so I figured she'd check and reply.

Jill

Maybe she was out, looking for another job. It's not reasonable to expect
an instant reply.

I don't consider a few days "instant". YMMV

Yes, my view does vary. If someone does not choose to reply quickly I
accept it. Maybe they are busy or even they don't want to hear from me. No
problem.

I know I've been away from the NG for a long time, but I am still
surviving and plugging along as best as I can. I'm in between vet
clinics at the moments and now have an addition troublemaker in
addition to Imp, Mischief and Mayhem. In the summer of 2011, a small
little 10 oz ball of fluff came into my life, and his name is Trouble.

Why are your cats all given such unflattering names? Name the next one
something like Sweetikins or Preciousdarling.

I'm pretty sure those cats named themselves. And probably quite proud
of themselves, too.

I think that cat's names are great. I have a friend who took in a stray
who had a damaged tail and various other problems. She nicknamed him vet's
bill and it stuck. Don't know what the vet thought though.

LOL! I did try to rename Boyfriend but he seems happy with with his name.
I was going to call him Gideon but he said absolutely not.

Recently I've gotten back into fiction writing and have decided to revisit the SS Mouser Tales about the cats and Captain Pine Cone. I've decided to write a novel based on the stories I've written in the past and some of you may remember some of your cats were characters.

I have the crew list almost finalized but there were other past character cats that I would like to get in touch with their hoomin owners to receive permission to use their cats names.

Cats and Hoomins I'm looking for....

Theresa with Dante and Stinky

Jill McQuown with Persia

Helen with Waffles?

If these folks can email me at or firekrys at gmail I would greatly appreciate it

And if anyone else would like to see their cat added to the crew Roster of the SS Mouser or at least a character in the novel, please feel free to let me know. I may not be able to list all of them, but they might get a quick mention.

Thanks again and hope to hear from you folks,

Hugs,

Kristi

Sorry folks, since I don't post here as often any more I don't check this as often. I wasn't sure who was still here or not

I got a couple emails, but I'm glad to hear from everyone.

In terms of my cats names, cats are instant, automatic troublemakers. Imp is my conspiracy cat, and always looks like he plotting something. Mischief also looks like she scheming and in her heyday was into EVERYTHING. Mayhem caused mayhem when she arrived in her constant battle for dominance, now she's more of a petulant child in a princess outfit.

And then in the summer of 2011, after declaring that three cats was PLENTY, two boys brought me a tiny ball of fluff in a box and asked if I could take care of him. He was Trouble, as in my late bf and would be IN trouble if we took on the expense of a fourth cat. He also gets into EVERYTHING and has this constant, "Oh was I not supposed to do that?" look

I'll post some snippets of the novel when I can.

Thanks to all that replied
