New Kitten
Hi guys,
I am planning to adopt a new kitten in early November. My one concern is that during X'mas I will be heading off for 2 weeks on a holiday. This has already been scheduled and cannot be rebooked. At this point I would only have had the kitten for one and a half months. Is this enough time for the kitten to adjust to a new home enough to tolerate my leaving? At this point I see a few options. 1) Hiring a cat sitter for the 2 weeks 2) Not taking possession of the cat until after I get back (although this may not be possible) 3) Bringing the kitten back to its original cattery for two weeks (although this might also not be possible.) Thanks for any advice you guys may be able to offer. I'm definitely looking forward to getting my first kitten though! Mark |

I would choose the cat sitter for the two weeks. Have the sitter come while
you are still there to get to know the kitten and vice versa. Cats and kittens are territorial and grow attached to their home base. The kitten should be fine for those two weeks if she is well taken care of. Gail "Mark Tan" wrote in message ... Hi guys, I am planning to adopt a new kitten in early November. Of those options, I think I'd go w/ hiring a cat sitter. The sitter will
come to meet you & the kitten a week or two before your trip, see where you keep the litter, food, etc., make arrangements house key, visits per day, etc. My pet sitter leaves the option of how many visits/day up to the client - once, twice, three times. (Except one person paid for her to show up 5 times/day!) Cathy -- "Staccato signals of constant information..." ("The Boy in the Bubble") Paul Simon "Mark Tan" wrote in message ...
