When rubbing my cats belly I felt a largish hard lump. My first though
is that he has cancer. Is there anything else this could be, anything not horribly bad? A fat pocket. My cat had one that felt like a hard boiled egg. The vet told me it was just fat. I was relieved. |

Vet time. It might be it's supposed to be there (organs can feel a bit
frightening) but if it isn't the vet is the best place to go. It may NOT be a bad thing but if it is the sooner you find out the better. Karen "Jane" wrote in message ... Jane Cheeks had a fat pocket on her back that worried the hell out of me. Vet shrugged and said "it's probably a little fatty deposit. Let us know if it doesn't go away." Hers went away. I hope your cat's does. |

Yes, of course. We have an appointment for this evening - but that still gives me several hours to worry. Hi Jane, I found a lump on my last cat's chest which the vet biopsied and it was found to just be a benign cyst. So try not to worry until your kitty has been to the vet, although I know that's easier said than done.
