I got rewarded tonight!
I got rewarded tonight!
Just a little while ago, I went outside, just to see where the ferals might be. OtherKitty was approaching me and rubbing against the porch post as she did. I reached down, and she head-butted my hand, then let me give her a "full cat" stroke (head, neck, back, tail) without flinching. Then she backed off. At a couple of points, she went back to Sugar Kitten, and sort of pushing and leading him towards me, as if trying to show him I'm nice, or trying to put Sugar Kitten into my care. Sugar Kitten is still way too skittish to come directly to me. I also took out the feather onna stick and the laser pointer. The stick scared them, but if I laid it on the ground, OtherKitty grabbed the catnip ball on the stick, and tried to run off with it. The elastic didn't cooperate, though, and stole the catnip ball back. The real hit was the laser pointer. Sugar Kitten was all over the lawn chasing it, even came a few inches from me at one point. Even OtherKitty joined in a couple of times, although I think she gave Sugar Kitten a few cuffs and some words to tone it down and not get captured. (darn it!) On the sad side, we may have lost Pilot. I haven't seen her for a few days, so I'm quite worried about her. The fact that she only has one eye tells me she's likely a fighter. Crossing my fingers that she's just hiding or something. Hugs and Purrs, Mark |

Otherkitty knows that you're a good guy otherwise she wouldn't be showing Sugar Kitty it was ok to be petted by you. She also knows that you would take care of Sugar Kitty. Purrs that Pilot is ok and turns up soon. Judith Ditto. I think it's wonderful the two were playing a bit. And I do hope Pilot turns up unscathed. Jill |
