Default [UPDATE] on purrs for friend's cat

You guys are the best! Both Adoph and Magic seem to be recovering.
KK went to another vet and got a second opinion, and the meds that vet
prescribed were apparently what they needed. He believes they
have/had an intestinal infection, with the walls of the intestines
swelling, infected, and hardening. No wonder they didn't want to eat!
They are starting to eat again and perking up.

KK has no idea what caused this. Her only guesses are that they just
got their first artificial Xmas tree, and maybe only these two (she
has 11 ? other cats) chewed on it, or that her DH, not knowing about
icemelt being bad for cats, tracked some in and Magic and Adolph
licked some of it up off shoes or floor.

At any rate, they are doing better, and KK wanted me to be sure to
thank you all so much for your caring and your purrs and prayers.

Way to go, RPCA!
