Default Purr Request

Mrs Cat is poorly.

11-years-old, she's been off her food, and would only lick rather than
chew. She was salivating and dribbling so much that the fur on her chin
was becoming matted.

She's had teeth problems before, so I took her to the vet. They haven't
found anything wrong with her mouth, but she is dehydrated. They've put
her on a drip, and are taking blood tests and X-rays. I'd like some
collective Purrs from the Group please. Pretty please, with catnip
leaves on top?

Thanks,

Purrs a coming. I hope they find something easily correctable. She may
just have upset tummy. That can cause drooling and would account for
dehydration and the dehydration could contribute back to the upset
tummy. I hope you find out what is going on.

Gee, that sounds a lot like what Natasha's been going through (but
without the salivating and dribbling and matting).

Purrs for Mrs Cat!

Default Purr Request

My cat, Tom, has chronic teeth and mouth problems. We've managed to get
it under control with the antibiotic clindamycin and a corticosteroid.
If Mrs Cat has teeth problems and requires antibiotics, suggest to your
vet that she/he try clindamycin, it worked very well with Tom.
Previously Tom was had been given doxycycline and also cephalexin,
which didn't help at all.

Purrs with catnip sprinkles being sent for Mrs Cat. I hope she returns
to good health soon.

Dewi.

Lots of purrs coming for Mrs Cat...
I will be amazed if it doesn't turn out to be some sort of obstruction in
the mouth or throat.

Indeed. The vet says an X-ray of the larynx shows a lump in the throat.
They want to do an ultrasound tomorrow (Monday), before deciding what
course of action to take.

Thanks for all the purrs (and prayers)

I hope it turns out well for Mrs Cat, but prepare yourself for a bad
prognosis. So sorry to say this Mat.

Thanks,

Purrs on the way for Mrs. Cat. Hope it's not serious and easily corrected.

This could be good or bad news. Please let us know what turns up. Many
purrs on the way for you both.

Purrs for today's appointment, and that it's nothing serious. It's
good that you're having this examined as soon as possible.
